The purpose of these trainings is for people to get out into nature, have fun and hopefully learn something new. On these trainings, we will be watching birds in the themed environment of the event. You will get to hear information about birds and the environment, and you will also be taught how to recognise some key birds from the environment we are in. You will also get to hear about how environmental policy affects our nature, and discussion is encouraged, but not mandatory.
The trainings will be held in English, but you will be taught the names of the birds in Finnish as well. We have a few pairs of spare binoculars available to share, a telescope and a few birdbooks (in Finnish). If you have equipment for birdwatching, please bring it. You can also borrow binoculars from some libraries in Helsinki.
You will be emailed the event meeting location around 5 days before the trainings you have signed up for.
This event is organised with the Sivis Study Centre, you may possibly receive an email from them asking for feedback.
