Metsäryhmän retki uhanalaiseen Karhunkaatajan metsään!
Tule mukaan retkelle maanantaina 18.5 klo 16 Karhunkaatajan metsään, joka sijaitsee Viikin ja Myllypuron lähistöllä. Retkellä tutustumme siihen, mikä on Karhunkaatajan metsän tilannekuva. Mitkä kaavat uhkaavat metsää? Voimmeko vielä vaikuttaa metsän säilymiseen?
Opettelemme myös samalla metsäkartoittamista sekä jaamme toisillemme luonto-osaamista. Voit esimerkiksi kertoa tunnistamistasi käävistä, jäkälistä tai vaikka linnuista, jos sinulta löytyy luontotietämystä!
Retkellä myös pohdimme Viikin paikallisen metsäryhmän perustamista. Ryhmän ideana on koota Viikin kampuksella opiskelevia opiskelijoita sekä Luontoliiton metsäryhmän porukkaa yhteen. Toiminta voi olla juuri sen näköistä kuin mitä osallistujat haluaisivat!
Retki järjestetään yhdessä Biosfääri ry:n kanssa.

Trip to endangered Karhunkaataja forest organized by Luontoliitto Metsäryhmä!
Join us to a trip on monday 18.5 at 16 to Karhunkaataja forest, located in middle of Viikki and Myllypuro. On the trip we will get to know what is the current situation with the forest. What plans of city are threatening it at the moment? What could we still do to save the beautiful place?
We will also practice forest mapping and share our skills with nature. You can for example tell if you have special knowledge about polypores, lichens, mosses, birds or anything!
On this trip our goal is also to think about founding a new ”Viikki specific” forest themed group. The idea would be to gather students from Viikki campus
and connect them with Luontoliitto Metsäryhmä people. Activities of this group could be exactly what the people in it want. For example practicing forest mapping or lobbying city to save Karhunkaataja forest or other places!
